There’s a Netflix documentary out currently on the Rocio Wanninkhof case, and it was insane. I would like to think that even in the U.S., we wouldn’t convict someone - or even try them - with evidence this slim. I hope HBO Max will give this case its due. As brilliant as Scalia was (and he was, just not in a palatable fashion for me), he needs to piss off with his comments about not executing innocent people. We know we’ve done it. And people he didn’t want to hear were shouting from the roof.
