The thing about a Tiger King adaptation is: where can it go? The real people are so larger than life, and the doc really laid out every single interesting thing. What’s left to explore? There’s barely a satisfying narrative thread to follow. Although I’d love to see an episode focused on Saff, the trans man who lost his arm. That’s a story I wished they’d dug into more in the doc. He seemed remarkably level-headed and snarky and I wouldn’t mind a whole show of him just reacting to the really crazy stuff.
South Africa's satantic panic was so deeply rooted that there was a dedicated police unit (ORCU) who were still around in the 2010s - I am not sure about now, but Lil Nas X should take note.
What wince? I want that Weinstein headline splashed across the NYT!! (Stopped reading there, so I have to dip back in.)
