I'm expecting Cocaine & Rhinestones to be the highlight of mid-2021 for me. I've had a saved Google search for it since 2018, and I shrieked with happiness when I finally got the good news on Friday that he had a 18 hour season starting on April 20th.

Re: MacDonald, I am ok with the majority of prisoners being released when they get to a certain advanced age, as long as they're being released into a relatively safe situation for others and themselves. He's a horrible person and he deserves his punishment, but I think mostly what I want is revenge rather than justice, and I try to resist that instinct in myself.

“...people now go to murder sites for a holiday...” Sweet, simple soul, they ALWAYS did; now they just actually talk about it. I squealed when I saw Cocaine & Rhinestones in my feed again and learned it wasn’t a mistake. I was force-fed country music as a child: there was nothing on television in Texas on Sundays except church services (mostly Baptist) or country music variety shows. I hated it all. C&R does an amazing job in season one of providing background and stories that explain the roots of it all, and why this is an important musical genre. It’s like Mexican food: you have to know what you’re looking for and try the good stuff to know whether you like it. Re: MacDonald, I’m fine with him staying put but I think we are all going to have to square our feelings about keeping older people in prison as DNA helps us solve older and older crimes. Not relevant in MacDonald’s case, but a musing on the elderly in prison in general.

Also, many thanks to Susan for the Veritas review, which I added to my list as soon as I finish my current Wodehouse binge!

Tyler has raised expectations so much for this Possum season of C&R I'm a little worried but look forward to him meeting them.
