That is very sad about Shanna. I'm not familiar with her work, but I will add the Marjorie Orbin book to my wishlist, since I know less about that case.

Wow, very sad and shocking news about Shanna Hogan. I actually just bought her book about Erin Corwin (Secrets of a Marine’s Wife). I’ve read The Stranger She Loved and Dancing with Death. Both well researched and highly readable. I think I read the Martin MacNeill (creepy Dr. who killed his wife after making her get plastic surgery and then hired his liver as hips kids’ nanny) one in a single one-way plane trip. Condolences to her family and loved ones.

I shed some tears of joy for Curtis Flowers, but it’s frustrating to know there are more stories like his out there. I’d love to mandate DNA testing in every death penalty case and see just what the outcome is. That plus drug legalization would have to be my platform if I ran for President. Think of the billions of dollars I’d create in tax revenue alone. Just ordered one of Shanna’s books; I’m sorry to say I had not heard of her until now. And it would NEVER have occurred to me to put Wired (my Dad’s favorite magazine) on a list of publications with good, long-form crime. Who knew?
