Personally, a lot of us were appalled at the time, thinking that she clearly had no idea what she was doing because the story ended the way it did. This is about 5 days before Halyna’s death.
Also, I fully believe Alec has already screwed himself over so badly with the George Stephanopolous interview that he’s gonna spend most of his testimony trying to walk all that crap back. I still don’t think he’ll get jail time, but if he does badly enough in front of the jury, he might end up with a small suspended sentence.
