I feel like she was mostly feigning her various illnesses for attention and sympathy, or to feel important in some way. I guess the main difference is she was getting the attention from random ordinary people rather than doctors. She got some free stuff here and there, but I thought the attention was the main thing for her.
Coincidentally, I had just reached out to Laura Biel yesterday to see whether I could get her to speak at a group I’m part of (the excitingly named Dallas Association of Health Underwriters). If anyone knows her, let me know. I’d love to have her Zoom speak to us.
