Woman, you clearly are not a Real Housewives of NY fan: we hashed that testing stuff out at the 2020 reunion, with Ramona Singer leading the bestial pack, traveling everywhere with people in her “bubble” and posting partying pics sans mask. She did get COVID, recovered miraculously and kept doing it, remorselessly. When her co-stars chastised her, she just kept screaming, “But I’ve already had the virus” - as though that counted for something. (Insert heavy teeth gnashing here.) I haven’t watched anything, but I’m recording mightily. And I would also like to suggest Susan, Margaret, Eve and Sarah for our first Mount Rushmore matriarchs. That is all.

I'm so glad my suggestion worked for the 12 Days of Best Evidence project! One weird connection I have to this case is that way back in 2010 I sat on a jury in a criminal trial overseen by the same judge who later presided over the trial of the three men suspected of being involved in Robert's murder. Take a look at this link: http://whomurderedrobertwone.com/2010/09/02/oh-my-voir-dire/ and yes that is me commenting under the username "suecadence" over 10 years ago! It really is true that the internet is forever.

Circling back to comment because I got around to watching Alabama Snake this week. I concur with your review Sarah. I expected to dislike the re-enactments, but they were evocative and worked for me. What was missing though was the broader context of the church's beliefs, the parishioners and how they did or didn't fit in with the wider Scottsboro community, and why the Holiness tradition of snake handling is uniquely Appalachian. I am certain our talking head, Dr. Burton, could have shed more light on that. And it would have been great to hear more from church and community members. I am pretty sure I first heard about this case on "City Confidential" and a little more of that flavor would have made this doc work better for me.
