Since it got a passing mention today, can anyone out there explain the continued popularity of Crime Junkie to me? I don't get it. Even before the plagiarism came to light, I thought CJ was terrible. Embarrassing mistakes (pronouncing Jacques as "jah-queez") and superficial treatment of the case, all delivered in a breathless "OMG, can you believe it?!" kind of voice.
I will definitely pick up a copy of Rother's book on the Rebecca Zahau case. I'm not a completist, but I have enjoyed the handful of books I've read by her and this case is just one of the weirdest out there.
