Ugh, fat suits... I've already bitched about how male actors using them get a pass (looking at you Joshua Jackson in Dr Death), but in the case of someone like Pamela Hupp, she is hardly so iconic that it would even matter if RZ played her with her regular physique- I, the viewer, don't have a strong enough visual association with her. And for the Lynda Tripp type roles, the argument for having an actor who actually looks more like the person is even stronger. But there is this perverse line of, wow a beautiful woman is willing to look "ugly" what a sacrifice! Theron's Monster performance always bothered me because she's so exaggerated with the prosthetics that she's like a carnival mirror version of Aileen Wuornos.
