Excellent -- thank you for the Showtime recs! I am taking off three days next week, ostensibly to clean my filthy house, but I gotta do something while I fold 3 months of laundry (wish I were exaggerating)!
I read the Diego story and felt pretty terrible for him. Clearly the continuance of this fake alarmist cancelation behavior is not working. I have young family members who’ve experienced both sides of the situations depicted in the article and the fallout is just brutal.
I think the Ladykiller's stalling has something to do with the BBC's move to their own format and subscription services.
I know they put their Friday Night Comedy (changes over the course of the year, but it's always topical) on a one month delay for people who aren't subscribed and I suspect it's behind the Kermode and Mayo film podcast leaving the BBC entirely.
We need (and by "we" I mean BE) a more full discussion of "Project Unabom". It is freaking EXCELLENT. I just binged all five episodes that are currently out today. I am learning so many new things, including the fact that the narrative I/we have been fed about male FBI agents and their linguistic analysis might not have been so true...
