Made You Look is a good documentary about the Knoedler Gallery fallout now on Netflix. Forgery scams fascinate me, mostly because, as a plebian, I could never afford the art being sought, fought over and sold that the Knoedler represented. Michael Hammer appears only in a few photos, but as soon as I saw that face, I knew he was trouble and, duh, Armie's dad. An antidote to this doc is a remake of Gambit, (2014) with Colin Firth and Alan Rickman. Another art con comedy, but thoroughly delightful and I AM NOT MAD THAT COLIN FIRTH LOSES HIS PANTS FOR THE DURATION OF A SCENE (spoiler alert: he does wear underpants, but, oy, those legs). We do get to see an utterly charming Tom Courtenay as Firth's faithful sidekick and co-conspirator constantly zinging his boss - and doing some art forgery himself. Highly recommend both.
