I really enjoyed the book The Woman Who Fooled The World: Belle Gibson's Cancer Con and the Darkness at the Heart of the Wellness Industry by Beau Donnelly and its takedown of the Instagram/influencer/wellness industrial complex.
Oh my goodness. I loathe Airbnb for many reasons, but this is one of them. I didn't know all the numbers, but I know that here in Nashville, there are some neighborhoods that have been practically ruined by the proliferation of Airbnbs. People treat their accommodations like an anonymous hotel, and that's not great for the neighborhood. Not to mention all the housing that's not available anymore for people to, you know, live in.
That Air BnB library ad is... ugh. Ugh.
